Technical Info
Colour Space
- All images supplied by Snapestock are RGB, JPEG images embedded with ‘Adobe RGB (98)’ colour profile. We do not supply CMYK Files. Conversion to CMYK requires an understanding of a number of print factors such as paper stock, output device etc. You should liaise with your Designer or Printer to establish the appropriate CMYK conversion method and profile.
Sharpening
- Once purchased, images should be assessed and sharpened according to output size and medium.
JPEG Compression
- All images on Snapestock are supplied as JPEG images. The JPEG images are created from TIFF files and saved as JPEG using Adobe Photoshop. A compression of 10 or 11 (Maximum) using the Base Line Standard method is applied. This means that the download size is smaller than the full, uncompressed size. To obtain the uncompressed file size, open the file and resave the image as a TIFF file. If you choose to re-save the file as a JPEG, ensure the compression size is no less than the source file compression of 10 or 11.
Resolution
-The resolution of all images supplied by Snapestock is set to 300 DPI.
Monitor Calibration
- The appearance of images will vary from monitor to monitor. Only properly colour calibrated monitors using a hardware calibration device will render images to view accurately in colour and density. Unless you are confident that your monitor has been calibrated correctly, we strongly discourage you from making any colour or density changes to any files you have purchased from SnapeStock.
Proofing
We strongly recommend that you proof images before going to print to ensure you understand the translation from your monitor view to your output medium.
Download Information
If your image download fails for some reason, do not purchase it again. You are able to re-download your purchases for 12 Months via the 'Download List'.
